Heian Router CNC Retrofit

The Heian Router is a heavy duty router with 8 spindles and two parallel tables. The machine was originally controlled with a FANUC 0 control, servos, and spindle drives.

The router was retrofitted with a NUM Flexium 6 CNC control and digital AC servo drives. MasterControls provided a complete control cabinet replacement that included servo drives, IO, spindle drive, and magnetics. The customer was able to increase uptime and cycle time with the control upgrade. This upgrade also allowed the customer to have an Ethernet link for remote support or transfer of part programs. The customer chose to not have the dual axis function so both tables could function in tandem, however this is available.

Note: This machine could also be retrofitted with the Siemens 808D Advanced control with the dual axis/gantry function.
